As anticipation continues to build for the 250 Ride Gala on Friday, June 12, guests will be welcomed by the elegant sounds of live music performed by Ruth and Caleb Thompson (RuthThompsonHarp.com), adding a memorable soundtrack to one of the signature events of Delaware's America 250 commemoration.

Performing from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the talented husband-and-wife duo will provide live music throughout the opening portion of the evening, creating the perfect atmosphere as guests gather at beautiful Thousand Acre Farm in Middletown, Delaware.

The 250 Ride Gala serves as a centerpiece celebration of the historic 250Ride.org reenactment, which commemorates Caesar Rodney's legendary ride from Dover to Philadelphia and Delaware's critical role in the founding of the United States.

Guests attending the gala will enjoy an unforgettable evening featuring cocktails, the official 250 Ride Liberty Lager from First State Brewing Company, Laird's Applejack tastings, curated appetizers, living history presentations, and opportunities to meet participants involved in the historic reenactment.

For Ruth and Caleb Thompson, the evening represents an opportunity to connect music with history.

"Caleb and I are thrilled to be part of this historic event and welcoming guests to the 250 Ride Gala," said Ruth Thompson. "Music is an integral part of all cultures and societies. Throughout history—and particularly during the founding of our nation—music has been a meaningful way for people to not only reflect on their roots but also to develop their own story. We look forward to sharing a variety of traditional and classical songs from the Revolutionary era and setting the tone for such a momentous celebration."

Their performance will feature selections inspired by traditional and classical music of the Revolutionary era, helping transport guests back to the time of America's founding while celebrating the journey that continues to inspire Delawareans 250 years later.

Set against the backdrop of one of Delaware's most iconic venues, the gala promises to be a unique blend of history, culture, music, and community as supporters gather to celebrate the legacy of Caesar Rodney and the stories that shaped a nation.

Tickets for the 250 Ride Gala are available now at 250Ride.org/events.
