Taylor's Bridge School

Following a stop at Woodland Beach State Wildlife Management Area, the 250Ride.org reenactment continued north to Taylor's Bridge School in Townsend, Delaware. Nestled beneath the shade of the trees surrounding the historic schoolhouse, the stop provided a welcome opportunity for the horses, carriage team, and Caesar Rodney to rest before continuing the journey toward Philadelphia.

It was also here that Louise Poppiti concluded her ride aboard the carriage after experiencing a memorable portion of the historic route. Following a brief pause, the team once again set out on the road, continuing north as the two-day reenactment faithfully retraced Caesar Rodney's Ride for Independence.
