The 250 Ride Arrives at Separation Day
As the 250 Ride journey continues north, it arrives in Historic New Castle for a ceremonial stop at the annual Separation Day Celebration—one of Delaware’s most meaningful and time-honored traditions. This gathering commemorates Delaware’s decision to declare independence in 1776, led by Caesar Rodney himself, making it a fitting and powerful point along the reenactment route.
This stop serves as a dynamic intersection of history and community, where the 250 Ride becomes part of a living celebration. Guests will experience the arrival of the carriage, see Caesar Rodney, and witness the Unheard Voices of the Revolution come to life as they engage with the public, bringing deeper context and storytelling to the day’s events.
Members of the Unheard Voices of the Revolution will participate in the parade alongside Caesar Rodney, offering a moving reflection of the people and perspectives that shaped our nation. Following the parade, the journey continues north toward Philadelphia, carrying forward the spirit of unity, education, and remembrance that defines the 250 Ride.
