Day 2: Road to Philadelphia

Follow the second day of the 250Ride.org Living History Reenactment as Caesar Rodney’s carriage departed Thousand Acre Farm in Middletown, Delaware, where the horses had rested overnight following the 250Ride Gala, and continued its journey north toward Philadelphia.

These photographs capture the carriage along the road from Delaware to Pennsylvania, culminating on Passyunk Avenue at Olde Yankee, Inc. in Philadelphia. There, the carriage portion of the journey came to an end as Caesar Rodney and members of the Unheard Voices of the Revolution continued the final 4.5 miles on foot to Independence Hall.
