Caesar Rodney and the 1st Delaware Regiment at Separation Day

During the 250Ride.org Living History Reenactment's stop at Separation Day in Historic New Castle, Caesar Rodney, portrayed by Ciro Poppiti III, stepped inside the expansive Revolutionary War encampment of the 1st Delaware Regiment.

Surrounded by soldiers, civilians, craftsmen and the sights of an 18th-century military encampment, Caesar explored a living history experience that brought the Revolutionary era to life in the heart of Historic New Castle.

Hours later, Caesar and the 1st Delaware Regiment came together again near the historic New Castle Court House Museum at the conclusion of the Separation Day Parade. A ceremonial musket volley echoed through Historic New Castle, sending Caesar Rodney and the 250Ride.org carriage onward toward Wilmington and, ultimately, Philadelphia.
